After the pandemic started to weaken a little in Germany a decision was made to continue with the Bundesliga. So far 25 rounds were played so after the break follows 26th round.
Before we get to the situation on the table and after that to the 26th round we will look back at the new measures taken precisely because mentioned pandemic. The first rule is, matches will be played without presence of the audience, which is very logic and understandable. However, besides this, several other conditions were introduced. All parts present will be obligate to wear a mask, except for players and referees. Another interesting rule considers testing of the players. The concept, namely, is that all players will be tested in certain rhythm. In case that a player is positive on COVID-19 virus, that player will be sent to self-isolation. That player will be able to play again only after two negative tests in a row.
Actual situation on the table is interesting, because everything from the title as well as the candidates for the international places but also for the relegation are all in question. Currently Bayern leads on the table, and it is with 4 points more than Borussia Dortmund, 5 points more than RB Leipzig, and 6 points more than Borussia M´gladbach and 8 points more than Bayer Leverkusen. All these above-mentioned followers of Bayern should qualify for the Champions League. Next in line is Schalke 04, but with 10 points behind Bayer, and with 18 points behind Bayern Munich. Schalke 04 and teams behind VfL Wolfsburg, SC Freiburg and 1899 Hoffenheim will probably fight for the last position for the Europa League.
1.FC Koln and Union Berlin are not so endangered, since both teams have huge advantage when it comes to the play offs, but at the same time they are also far enough from international positions. Main candidates for relegation are Paderborn, Werder Bremen and Fortuna Dusseldorf, with Fortuna being on the 16th position, with 4 points more than Werder and Koln. Besides these three teams also FSV Mainz 05, FC Augsburg, Hertha BSC and Eintracht Frankfurt might be fighting for survival. Here we cannot forget that 15th Mainz has 4 points advantage against Werder.
