Premier League Season 2018/19 Preview
As we had predicted in our last year’s preview of the English Premier League, team that brought the strongest players in the summer transfer window has won the title. It was Guardiola’s Manchester City, which exceeded magic number of 100 points after 38 rounds. Right because of that the City is again the main favourite to win the league, especially as they haven’t made too many changes in the team who is now more experienced for one year playing together. Liverpool led by Jurgen Klopp should be their biggest competitor, as it brought several excellent players and also had an excellent season in the Champions League, where it even reached the final. Besides the two teams, Mourinho’s Manchester United and three great London teams also belong to the Top 6 and Title group, where Tottenham made almost no changes this summer, while Chelsea and Arsenal, besides several fresh players, have brought new managers after fairly unsuccessful season, meaning after a long time we are not going to see legendary manager Arsene Wenger at Premier League matches.
Regarding other teams, we have again divided them into two groups where each has seven teams; the mid-table group and relegation group, where we put teams that are supposed to struggle to survive. We have prepared detailed analyses of all 20 teams with stress on what they have done in the summer transfer window and forecast for the new season that starts on Friday, August 10, when Manchester United meets Leicester at the Old Trafford in the evening time slot.
