La Liga / FC Barcelona vs Valencia – This is the most interesting match of the 4th round but neither team started well and both have problems. Barcelona lost, won and drew, and played far below champion’s level. Valencia made the same results, except they are slightly different and they won for the first time in the previous round. Both their league head-to-head played last season ended as a draw, 2-2 at the Camp Nou. On the other hand, Valencia won the Copa del Rey.
Game FC Barcelona vs Valencia begins 14.09.2019 at 21:00 CET
Barcelona doesn’t play in its natural rhythm and the results are variable, but they also have a lot of problems with injuries. There is no Messi and that is of course a huge handicap, while L. Suarez is recovering from injury and perhaps he will be ready for this match. There is no Dembele as well, while Umtiti is questionable. No wonder they lost in Bilbao and merely drew with Osasuna in the previous round. They managed to defeat Betis by sound 5-2, although they were the first to receive a goal. Against Osasuna they trailed behind but the match ended as 2-2 draw, which is definitely a failure. Arthur could be a starter now, and perhaps young Fati gets a chance after he scored in the previous round.
Probable lineups FC Barcelona: ter Stegen – S. Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, J.Alba – Busquets, de Jong, Arthur – Fati, Griezmann, C. Perez
Valencia had a turbulent start of the new season, as manager Marcelino clashed with the club's owners and had to step down. The now manager is Albert Celades and right in the previous round Valencia won its first match in the new season. They won Mallorca after Parei scored two goals from penalties. In the first round they weren’t lucky with penalties as Gameiro scored one against Real Sociedad but missed the second, while the guests also scored from the penalty spot. In the second round Valencia played badly in Vigo and they lost to Celta 1-0. Piccini and Soler were injured so they won't play now.
Probable lineups Valencia: Cillessen – Wass, Garay, G. Paulista, Gaya – F. Tores, Parejo, Kondogbia, Guedes – Rodrigo, Gameiro
