FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid / La Liga – After a longer break we again have El Clasico, although at the moment it doesn’t have much importance and decides about nothing. Of course, the rivalry is huge and there is no such thing like a “friendly” between Barcelona and Real Madrid. It will be the case now despite that Barcelona has big nine points more and is first in the standing, while Real Madrid is third. Both teams are still present in the Champions League and it will not be a surprise if they soon meet in that competition. Barcelona had in a long lasting series of victories but in previous round they drew with Villarreal, while Real has behind it a streak of five wins. In the first part of the season Barcelona taught a real lesson to Real in Madrid and the match ended with 4-0 for the Catalans. Begins: 02.04.2016 – 20:30 CET
Eight rounds before the end of season Barcelona is on verge to win the new champions title. If they win their biggest rival everything will be resolved. In between them in the standings is Atletico, who is not strong enough to parry to these two teams, which is why very important for Barcelona that Real Madrid doesn’t get closer. Even if the lost it wouldn’t be a catastrophe for the Catalans, although such development would certainly shake their morale. They got shaken in previous round when they had a lead away against Villarreal of 2-0 but they failed to preserve it, as they received two goals in the second halftime and had to contend with a draw.
Iniesta and Dani Alves weren’t in the team and now coach Enrique has even bigger problem as left backs Jordi Alba and Adriano are injured, just like Mathieu could have covered that position and now it is a question will perhaps Enrique choose Vermaelen to play at the position. Iniesta, Rakitic and Busquets complain about injuries but all three of them should be ready. Another problem is that striking trio Messi-Suarez-Neymar are tired from traveling related to qualifying matches of their national teams in South America.
Probable lineups Barcelona: Bravo – Dani Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Vermaelen – Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta – Messi, Suarez, Neymar
Real Madrid has accepted the fact that will not be the champions and that the title goes to Barcelona, so this team are switching their focus and will try to win the Champions League, which would definitely save the season. Fact that have nine points fewer than the Catalans certainly reduce a pressure on them ahead of El Clasico and Real can play fully relaxedly at Nou Camp. They can in fact play for fun and in such constellation they are not without chances.
If someone is capable to parry to Barcelona at their stadium that it is Real Madrid who will certainly not limit itself on defence as there is no reason for such tactic. On the contrary, they have an additional motive because of defeat in Madrid of 4-0 and they want to strike back. Perhaps all that will again end up catastrophically but probably it cannot be worse than it was last autumn at Bernabeu. Stopper Ramos had a problem with injury but he should be ready, which means that coach Zidane has at his disposal the strongest possible team, which is then logical to send on the pitch.
Probable lineups Real Madrid: Navas – Danilo, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – T. Kroos, Casemiro, Modric – Bale, C. Ronaldo – Benzema
FC Barcelona – Real Madrid PICK
Barcelona wants to verify the new title with a victory at home over their biggest rival, while Real Madrid wants to retaliate for defeat suffered last autumn in Madrid and on top of it they have nothing to lose at Nou Camp. In such constellation it is logical to expect an open fight and goal-fest on both sides.
