De Minaur vs Isner 08.10.2019 – ATP Shanghai

ATP Shanghai / De Minaur vs Isner – We have reserved the last analysis of the first round for match between Australian A. De Minaur and American J. Isner. We can say that both players have unfavourable path ahead of themselves as already in the third round they could face World’s no. 1 N. Djokovic who defends the title won last year after dispatching B. Coric in the final.

Match De Minaur vs Isner begins 08.10.2019 at 06:00 CET

A. de Minaur

De Minaur is 20-year old Australian who managed to improve his best rating this year, and in his case it was the 24th place in the ATP rank list that he held in March 2019. Before the ATP Shaghai his rating went down for just one position which is negligible. Like many other young player De Minaur has positive win/loss ratio that currently stands at 28-15.

We are sure that de Minaur will nicely remember this season due to fact that the won three ATP titles in it. He won tournaments in Sydney, Atlanta and Zhuahai, where he defeated in the finals A. Seppi, T. Fritz and A. Mannarin. True, those were 250 Series tournaments but this is still a good result for such young player.

J. Isner

Although he still has high rating Isner only occasionally makes good results this season which reminds on his heydays when he belonged to Top 10 players in the world. The American came to Shanghai being World’s no. 19, and he had the best rating around middle of previous year when he occupied the 8th place in the ATP rank list. In 12-year long professional career Isner won 15 ATP titles out of which one this season.

He won it at the tournament in Newport where Isner defeated A. Bulbik in the final. The American won the most prestigious title in his career at the Masters in Miami last year when he defeated A. Zverev in the final match. Isner’s win/loss ratio this year is very similar to of his today’s opponent and stands right now at 26-15. Besides the title from Newport, Isner played well at the Master in Miami where being the title defender lost to R. Federer.
