Chicago Bulls vs Los Angeles Lakers 13.03.2019 – NBA

Chicago Bulls vs Los Angeles Lakers / NBA – The Bulls and Lakers will almost certainly not qualify for the play-off this season although in theory they still can. As the things stand now the two teams and especially the Lakers will focus on tanking the season, or in other words they will try to get better place in the coming draft with weaker position.

Chicago Bulls vs Los Angeles Lakers begins 13.03.2019 at 01:00 CET

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls lost the first match with the Lakers that took place in L.A. by 100-107 despite that the Lakers played without James, while on the other hand almost all Bulls’ starters had underperformed. Now, the situation is quite different mostly because of fact that the Lakers will play without almost half of the team, although it is still questionable will LaVine play. At the moment Chicago is the 13th team in the Eastern Conference and has 19 wins and 49 losses, including last two.

The Bulls are near the bottom of most statistical categories (28th in scored points, 27th in number of assists and 26th in rebounds). They played number of games without two important players Markkanen and Dunna (together they skipped 53 games), while Portis and Parker who scored over 14 points on average are no longer with the Bulls. LaVine is the leading player of this young team but he has problems with injury, while Porter Jr. turned to be a great reinforcement (he arrived from the Wizards and averages 18.5 points).

Probable lineups Chicago Bulls: LaVine (Arcidiacono), Dunn, Porter Jr, Markkanen, Lopez

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers fans are going through another disappointment as it is more and more likely that their team will not taste sweetness of play-off this season (the Lakers have 30 wins, seven fewer than the 8th placed team in the West). On top of it they have problem with number of injuries and it can be said that at the moment the Lakers play without half of team (Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, Stephenson, Chandler). They have five-game losing streak right now and the team management decided to James have limited minutes by the end of season.

All this leads to conclusion that the Lakers will try to win as least as possible games in order to increase their chances to get #1 draft pick. That probably frustrates many players, including James, but after unsuccessful trades and bringing of high quality players the Lakers simply don’t know that to do any more. It is questionably is there a NBA star who would like to come next summer to the Lakers?

Probable lineups L.A. Lakers: Rondo, Caldwell-Pope, James (Bullock), Wagner, McGee

Chicago Bulls vs Los Angeles Lakers PICK

Don’t be surprised if coach Walton (allegedly with the Lakers by the end of season and his successor could be James former coach in the Cavs, Tyronn Lue) decides to rest James. Since the last Lakers’ victory over the Bulls the team from L.A. won just six out of 21 games, and the Bulls could use the crisis to put up a good resistance to their guests.
