Edmonton Oilers vs New Jersey Devils 13.01.2017. – NHL

Edmonton Oilers vs. New Jersey Devils / NHL – Both teams have in the last two rounds suffered defeats and they are welcoming this match in a somewhat worse mood. Edmonton has after good games at the start of the championship experienced decline in the game in the second part and they are currently in fifth place of the Western Conference. Given how they played last season, this is a great success for Oilers. Devils are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. They are on the penultimate place with two points more than the last islanders. Begins: 13.01.2017. – 03:00 CET

Edmonton Oilers

Given that Edmotnon ended last season in the last position, the fans of this club would be delighted if they end this season among the top eight and thus qualify for the playoffs. Start of the season was great for Edmonton. In the first eight games, they have achieved seven wins and only one defeat. However, their positive series did not last long. They began to play weaker afterwards. In the next ten matches, they have recorded only three wins. Towards the end of last year, they have again repaired their game. They had a series of four wins in five games played.

They did not have the best start in New Year. In the first two games, they have experienced as many losses. First they lost to Vancouver, and then to Columbus. In the next two matches, they have played much better. They recorded two wins away from home over Boston and over New Jersey Devils. Even though the Devils had the advantage of 1-0, the guests were able to make a turnaround and celebrate after extra time. But in the last two rounds, the players of Edmonton have played poorly again. First they lost to Ottawa away and in the last round at home to San Jose Sharks. In the next period, they will  have a somewhat easier schedule because they will play five games in a row at home.

New Jersey Devils

Devils have recorded good results in the first part of the season and they were in the middle of the table. But in the second they have experienced a big drop and therefore are currently second in the Eastern conference. Their negative series began in late November last year when they suffered three defeats. Then they defeated Toronto at home, but then again suffered four defeats in a row. At the beginning of December, they have achieved two victories and it seemed that they will finally play a little better. However, Devils have in the next ten games won only two victories and eight defeats.

In the first two games in 2017, they defeated Boston at home and Carolina away. After a triumph away in the next three games, they played in their hall. But it did not help much to record better results. First they lost to Toronto, and then from Edmonton after extra time. Their last defeat happened against Florida in the last round. They celebrated a victory as guests with 0:3. However, it should be pointed out that the players of Florida achieved the last two goals in the empty net in the final of the match. Devils will not be able to count on four players due to injuries in this match.

Edmonton Oilers vs. New Jersey Devils PICK

Devils are in a series of three defeats, and they will play the next four games at home. They will have a tough schedule in the rest of the season and they will not fix their position on the table any time soon. Edmonton has already  celebrated once against the Devils this season as guests, so we suggest a home victory in this match
