Betis Sevilla vs Leganes 08.01.2017. – La Liga

Betis Sevilla vs. Leganes / La Liga –  Both teams are in the bottom of the table, but above the relegation zone and they certainly do not want to stay there. This particularly applies to Leganes, where the only goal is to survive in the elite rank and therefore they canbe satisfied that they currently have four points more than this zone. Betis has two points more than Leganes, however, much more is expected from Betis, so they do not want to even think about the struggle for survival. Those two teams have been eliminated from the Cup, while Leganes is in a very bad shape with a series of six matches without a win in both competitions. Betis lost the previous two duels, of which one in the Cup, which cost them the elimination. Last mutual duels between Betis and Getafe were played two seasons ago in the second division and Leganes celebrated in both matches.  Begins: 08.01.2017. – 16:15 CET

Betis Sevilla

Betis is playing very changeable lately and what they are not managing to do is a long series without defeats. They played in the Cup against Deportivo and achieved a solid victory of 1-0 at home, but then they lost at home with 3-1 and got eliminated. They are also winning in the championship, mostly at home, with the proviso that some bad match happens to them occasionally. They had two consecutive duels in front of their fans and they had to contend with a draw in a strange match against Celta which ended with 3-3.

Then they defeated Athletic Bilbao with 1-0, but in the last round before the break, they lost away to Alaves. In the meantime they lost their midfielder Musonda, whose loan expired and he had to return to Chelsea. The bad news is the injury of Gutierrez, while defender Mandi is at the African Cup of Nations. Joaquin is having problems with injuries, while Donk has recovered, as well as center-back Bruno who was ill.

Probable lineups Betis Sevilla: Adan – Piccini, Pezzella, Bruno, Jose Carlos, Durmisi – Donk, Ceballos, Cejudo, Ruben Castro, Sanabria

Leganes

Leganes is above the relegation zone and they can still be peaceful when it comes to that, but their bad form lately is very worrying. They looked much better at the start of the season and as it progresses, Leganes is playing increasingly weaker. They are currently in a series of four games without a win, three of which were draws, while they lost twice lost to Valencia in the Cup and got eliminated from that competition. In the last nine rounds, they celebrated only once and that was against the last ranked Osasuna at home with 2-0. They have a little encouragement in the fact that they in the previous three matches recorded draws, from which one was against Villarreal, which is not a bad achievement.

They played 1-1 against Las Palmas as guests and then the same result with Eibar at home. Meanwhile there has been a change in the team of Leganes and they brought a new goalkeeper Champagne, mostly because of a serious injury of Serantes for which the season is over. Center-back Siovas arrived on loan, while they lost midfielder Sastre. The problem in this game is that the first goalkeeper Herrera, who is not eligible to play because of suspension in the last round, so Champagne could have his debut immediately. Striker Guerrero is in good form, who recently regularly scores goals.

Probable lineups Leganes: Champagne – Bustinza, Medjani, Mantovani, A.Marin – A.Martin, Ruben Perez – Omar, Gabriel, Machis – Guerrero
